Set the elevation of a connection device

By default, a Connection Device's elevation is determined by the Postal Code set in its profile. To ensure My AcuRite uses the most accurate elevation for where your Connection Device is located, you can customize its elevation. When setting a custom elevation, My AcuRite automatically adjusts the device's barometric pressure measurement.

For example, if you live in mountainous location, your Connection Device may be located in an area that has a very different elevation than the elevation set by the Postal Code. Therefore, you may want to customize the elevation to where the device is physically located.

NOTE

PC Connect only - the My AcuRite elevation setting does to not apply to use with PC Connect. Barometric pressure adjustments are set directly in the PC Connect software.

How to set the elevation of a Connection Device

NOTE

If you set a custom elevation and you want My AcuRite to calculate and display an adjusted barometric pressure based on the custom elevation, you will want to set the barometric pressure to Adjusted Pressure.

  1. From the tab / navigation bar, tap (Settings menu).
  2. Tap Manage Devices.
  3. Tap the device name.
  4. Tap the icon located to the right of the device name.
  5. Elevation is set in step 3 of 4. From step 3 update the Elevation, tap Next.
  6. Tap Save to update.

The custom elevation has been applied and My AcuRite has automatically adjusted its barometric pressure.

NOTE

If you should change the device address location at a later date, you are prompted to either update the elevation to the new address or re-enter a custom elevation.
